Designing & Sampling

We at JM Knitwear believe in delivering the best to our customers. This is practised right from the base – the designing process where every step is taken care of. Right from CADs to swatch approval to protos and first sample, every minute detail is followed, and approval is taken at various stages. Our in-house designing team analyses the buyer’s requirements meticulously to develop and provide them garments of unmatched quality. We aim to turn samples around within 5 days to 8 days.

Drawing from years of experience and know-how as a world leader in fashion technology, Shima Seiki has created a design workstation that goes far beyond the simple patterning & programming. With powerful proprietary hardware & industry specific software developed in-house, no other design system even comes close to SHIMA-APEX System. From 3D-Knitting Simultaion to Machine Programming, our highly skilled technicians using APEX to program your piece to achieve the look you require quickly enabling a faster design to production to store service

Sourcing Yarn, Trims, Extras

We use the highest quality yarn in natural and manmade fibre for fashion and classic look.

Our Yarns

We specialise in making (chunky) and lightweight garments using both, natural and man-made yarns. Natural fibres are known to be soft on the skin, providing long-lasting comfort to wearer’s body and contentment to soul. The yarns we use include:

Knitting

We have electronic flatbed knitting machines producing garments in 5, 7, 10, 12 & 14 gauges. We can knit approximately 500 to 1000 units per gauge per week.

Steam & Cutting

Automated machines for steaming and cutting ensure all garments meet your precise measurements.

Our rewinding and knitting processes are such that the panels come out perfect in colour & handle. The washing process is crucial to maintain the strength and quality of the yarns and garments. All washed panels are pressed before proceeding to linking or overlocking of garments. We have specialised and trained employees for these machines who help us get maximum output in desired time frame.

Make-up & Assembly

Our makeup comprises of a variety of machinery enabling us to ensure your garment is finished to the highest quality standard creating a perfect look and fit for your customer. The Make-up department is equipped with Linking, Over-locking, Seam-covering, Lock-Stitching, Button-hole, Button-sew and all the ancillary machinery needed to make a garment.

Quality Checks and Assurance

For any business to succeed, quality assurance should be on top of its list. We have quality control units on intermediate as well as final stages. Knitted panels are checked before washing and after being finished. Besides just Mending, we have lamp checking to ensure even a single hole on lightweight garments do not go unnoticed. Our garments are made to fit and their measurements are checked at making and packing stages. The years of hard work, knowledge and expertise has helped JM Knitwear reach where it is today.
